As a Material Engineer in the Surface Treatment and Anti-Corrosion Team at Toyota, your responsibilities will be:

  • Development, evaluation and introduction of new anti-corrosion materials in order to improve durability
  • Development of new surface treatment technologies in order enhance product power

Technology evaluations for anti-corrosion performance on welding area:

  • Evaluate corrosion performance of existing technologies from suppliers parts.
  • Judge which technologies can meet the Toyota standard, grasp technical details and impact of the technology.

Anti-corrosion (A/C) simulation/modelling:

  • Investigate to be used for anti-corrosion purpose. simulation/modelling programs
  • Attend conferences related to simulation/modelling and summarize key findings and draft mapping of key players in EU.
  • Make proposals to incorporporate selected digital tool into anticorrosion team daily operations.

Benchmark and Survey of Anti-corrosion specification of other OEM:

  • Benchmark: Investigate, asses and compare anti-corrosion specifications to newly launched competitor vehicles.
  • Survey: support the organisation of the EU yearly rust survey.

Profiel
  • You have an University Degree in Engineering, preferably Material Science, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
  • You are fluent in English
  • You have experience with Anti-corrosion material evaluation.
  • You have good knowledge or show high interest for IT-simulation, modelling and/or Machine learning software.
  • You have experience in programming (e.g. Python, Javascript, Java)
